Strategy Technology Transfer

As part of the project "Strategy Technology Transfer", a concept was developed to make the research results at ISTT available to the public. Media channels and stakeholders for the dissemination of research results were analyzed. Furthermore, preparations for funding applications to the Land of Saxony, the Federal Republic and the European Union were met.


Research results and innovations can only have a societal impact when they are publicly available. Therefore, the development of new solutions for surgical training as the main goal of ISTT needs to correspond to current and future needs of relevant stakeholders. For this, an adequate technology transfer concept and a successful marketing strategy are necessary.

Course of Action

In a market analysis, relevant companies and research institutions were identified to gain knowledge about the market potentials of the innovations and research results of ISTT. Subsequently, theoretical approaches were defined to build the basis for a marketing strategy.


In cooperation with project PascAL, the market analysis has been completed by using an internet research. Relevant companies and research institutions have been identified and contacted. Marketing channels and stakeholders were defined and relevant funding programs were located.
